Job Summary: LOA Case Manager (VCC Role) – Amazon Disability Leave Services (DLS)

Position: LOA Case Manager Contract: 12-month direct contract (Voice support role)

Location: Virtual (Work-from-home)

Max CTC: ₹5.5 LPA

Notice Period: 15–20 days

Shifts: Night shifts only (24/7 rotational shifts, 5-day workweek with 2 consecutive days off, subject to change every 3-4 months)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inquiries related to leave of absence (LOA) and disability events, providing guidance on benefits and options.
  • Act as the single point of contact for employees, offering holistic case management, including reviewing medical documentation to adjudicate leaves per Amazon policies, federal/state laws (e.g., ADA/ADAAA, FMLA), and benefit plans.
  • Develop and adjust case management plans based on employees’ evolving needs.
  • Address sensitive situations, troubleshoot issues, and remove barriers during leave events.
  • Facilitate smooth return-to-work plans, including ramp-back strategies.
  • Educate managers and stakeholders on employee needs pre- and post-leave.
  • Maintain accurate system records and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with third-party administrators, HR, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and other teams as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or a related field (or equivalent high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in:
    • Customer service, HR management, case management, or leave/disability management.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of U.S. leave laws (e.g., ADA/ADAAA, FMLA).
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with limited information.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strong time management and ownership of deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience in leave/disability management using case management systems, determining eligibility, and executing case plans.
  • Experience guiding employees/managers on LOA, disability, accommodations, or HR-related matters.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
